Winter Wellness

Tuesday 17th December, 12pm-1pm

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:
  • Explore the relationship between wellness and the winter months
  • Understand mental health issues which more commonly occur in winter (Seasonal Affective Disorder and winter burnout)
  • Recognise effective techniques to maintain positive mental health in the winter
  • Implement mindfulness and understand the effect of regular mindfulness on mood
  • Recognise the support services available

Mental Health First Aid (Open)

Our next Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) will take place via zoom from Monday 3rd February to Wednesday 5th February 2025 from 9.30am-1pm each day. This course is priced at £185 per person, however Action Mental Health Workplace Wellbeing Hub members will receive 10% off each booking.

Sleep and Stress

Friday 14th March, 12pm-1pm

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:
  • Understand the sleep/rest cycle
  • Define stress and the effect of stress on sleep
  • Implement coping strategies for sleep and stress levels (Stimulus control, act, CIA, box breathing)
  • Build habits that manage daily stressors
  • Understand the role of sleep hygiene in maintaining positive wellbeing

Coping Skills for Challenging Times

June 2025. Date to be confirmed

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:
  • Understand the factors which may contribute to struggling with mental ill-health
  • Develop daily wellness tools to support and maintain positive mental wellbeing
  • Adapt evidence-based techniques to manage anxiety and increase mood in challenging times
  • Identify the ‘Wise Mind’ and learn to make decisions which reflect both their emotional values and rational logic
  • Utilise the ‘DEAR MAN’ technique to communicate their emotional and practical needs clearly to othersImplement mindfulness techniques to increase resilience, improve sleep and process challenging emotions
  • Understand the support services available for themselves and others during challenging times
